His love endures forever!!

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
His love endures forever.

Give thanks to the God of gods.
His love endures forever.

Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
His love endures forever.

(Psalm 136:1-3)

I don’t know about anyone else, but my God is good. He has been good through the years and I trust Him to be good forever. 2008 has been a year of new beginnings for me. Father has opened new avenues of service and has brought wonderful new friends into my life.

As I look forward to this new year (2009), I am excited to see what Father has in mind. I know about all the negative things in the news. I realize the economy isn’t looking good. I understand that there is pain and suffering in the world, even next door. But, I also know that Father is still in control and He still has his heart and His eyes directed toward us. He has never failed and will not fail now. This time of testing will only draw us closer to Him. We will grow in faith and trust. We will be stronger!

Jesus told us; “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” (Matthew 6:25-27)

There is hope for today and for tomorrow!

There is love that lasts forever!

There is faith which draws us closer to Him!

May Father bless and keep us all in this coming year. May we keep our eyes turned toward heaven, watching for Jesus. And, may we keep our eyes and hearts open to those around us.
